Are you able to give some of your time to help the Club to increase the membership by promoting the Club on the stand at the show. It could be even for a half a day but possible a little longer. We will be working on a shared basis with the other Swift Clubs with the daily working arrangements to be agreed on each day.

You will have free admission for the show and will need passes with photo recognition to gain access.

If you are able to help we will require a typical passport type photo preferably in PDF format as soon as ever possible please.

Sadly I have been informed of another death within the Swift Family. 
Honorary Life Member Freda Pedder died recently but Derek did not want the information published then. Her funeral took place yesterday with only family and close friends invited. We respect their decision to not want it widely publicised.

Derek & Freda became members of the club in 2009 and attended a number of Swift rallies and then had to give up caravanning in recent years due to Freda’s health and became Honorary Life Members of the club.

Our thoughts are with Derek at this sad time.

Allen and Andrew would like to thank everyone who attended Joan’s funeral yesterday. Many current and past members attended and £385 was raised to be donated between Alderhey Children’s Hospital and the children’s ward at Whiston Hospital. Some members have donated by post too. Allen & Andrew will add their own personal donations before sending the money to the respective locations.

We were so sad to learn of Cyndy’s passing from her family’s announcement on her Facebook today.

Cyndy & Tony joined the club in 1993 and attended and marshalled many rallies at home and abroad. After Tony’s death Cyndy became an Honorary Life Member and she always kept in touch with many of us in the “Swift Family”.

We only managed to visit her when we were in the area as we live 260 miles away. It was great when her daughters Tonya & Jo took her to visit on rallies that were not too far away from her home which enabled her to chat with old friends. We had arranged to visit her 3 months ago but she had to cancel on the last minute due to illness.

Cyndy never lost her sense of fun and her great sense of humour, no matter what life threw at her. She was a unique character and always fun to be with. We can all cherish the special memories that we have of her.

RIP lovely lady, there will never be another Cyndy Elkins.
